Caring for your Piano

Students are more likely to practice on a piano that sounds in tune to them, and fall is an ideal time to care for your piano in this way.  Tune your piano after the heat has been on in your home for at least two weeks, and  your instrument has adjusted to the changes in its heated environment.  Humidified air is another asset that helps keep your piano in tune during the winter months.  Contact me if you would like the names reliable local piano technicians.

Thanks for visiting. My name is Mary.

I am full-time music teacher offering private piano lessons for students of all ages in my studio at my North Naperville home. I love teaching, and have been offering piano lessons for over thirty years (and now I really feel old). Each year I have between 30 and 40 students. I maintain my professional credentials and retain membership in the National Music Teachers Association (NMTA) and the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA). There are many options for finding a piano teacher, I hope the information on this site helps in your quest to bring beautiful music into your home. This site serves as an introduction, if you feel I could be a good fit for you and/or your child take the next step and contact me. Thank you.
